Technological Perseverence

November 1 - 22, 2025

SVA presents “Technological Perseverance,” an exhibition featuring selected works by faculty and alumni from MFA Computer Arts, curated by Rochele Gloor. The exhibition will be on view at the SVA Flatiron Gallery and the Flatiron Project Space, 133 W 21st St., NYC.

“Technological Perseverance” explores the human capacity to endure, adapt, innovate, and overcome in the face of adversity. Here, unexpected outcomes are part of the artistic discovery, highlighting perseverance as the act of continuing forward with determination and curiosity.

I'm delighted to be exhibiting two stop-motion animations as part of an installation that features the organic materials used in their creation: Improv with Pine Bark, made from over 100 pieces of pine bark using replacement frame animation, and Log Jam #1, which sequences more than 200 slices of wood in the style of stratacut animations.
